Day 1: Arrival & Forest Edge Exploration

Morning:
- Pick-up from Nairobi or Nanyuki Airstrip
- Scenic drive to Mount Kenya National Park (Sirimon or Naro Moru Gate)
- Check in to your selected lodge or camp (choices include: Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, Serena Mountain Lodge, or Castle Forest Lodge)
Afternoon:
- Lunch with a view of the mountain
- Guided nature walk in the lower montane forest:
  - Spot colobus monkeys, forest antelopes, and rare birds
  - Visit a nearby waterfall or sacred fig tree site
Evening:
- Relax by the lodge fire with local herbal tea or mulled wine
- Dinner served under the stars or in a wood-paneled dining hall
Overnight:
- Stay at a forest lodge or foothill cabin

Early Morning:
- Breakfast and gear check
- Begin trek via the Sirimon Route to Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
  - Approx. 4–5 hours of hiking through forest, bamboo, and moorland zones
  - Ideal for acclimatization and photo opportunities
Midday:
- Picnic lunch en route or hot meal at Old Moses
- Scenic rest and optional short walk to viewpoints around the camp
Afternoon Options:
- For non-trekkers: Enjoy a guided forest therapy walk, bird watching, or visit the Mount Kenya Animal Orphanage
Evening:
- Return to base lodge or stay overnight at Old Moses for deeper immersion
- Share stories around the fire with porters or relax at the spa (if staying at luxury lodge)
